Farbridge House Ministry

Helping People With Serious Substance Abuse Problems Regain Their Independence... And Their Hope

The men and women in our Farbridge House Ministry are making one of the most difficult journeys in life: recovery from serious substance abuse problems... problems that often date back decades.

While they confront the challenging issues that led to their addiction, they hold down jobs... pay rent... and share in the upkeep of their house. They also make a vital contribution to our community by helping each other. And by working together to keep our neighborhood free of drug dealers and drugs.

In an age when so many rehabilitation programs fail, it's remarkable to see people recover from a serious addiction, especially when their problems are compounded by homelessness and dire poverty. But we feel that there are three keys to our success:

  1. The men and women in our Farbridge Ministry have the courage and commitment to make this difficult journey and rebuild their lives.
  2. While they stay in our Farbridge community, they develop a deep sense of spirituality through Bible study and discussion. It gives them the strength and hope they need to keep moving forward during difficult times.
  3. We also let people stay at Farbridge as long as they need our help. After all, true recovery follows a unique course with every different person. And it can take a lot of time.

That's why we never give up on the people at Farbridge House. And our patience is often rewarded when they return to a job... a family... and a place of their own.

We hope you will consider making a contribution so we can help even more people recover in the years ahead.
